A LIFE WITH FAKHI

Hallo, my name is Fakhi. A nerd who loves joining organizations.
After reading An Organizational Behavior by Robbins and Judge, I was impressed by the pre-chapter written there. It was story about Hussam, as General Manager in multinational corporation.

So, here I would like to share what actually I am doing in a university life. I'm not the general manager like he is. But, I would love someday what i am doing today worth to remember.

Now, besides doing my study in psychology Universitas Gadjah Mada, I was also the research staff and Senior Intern Researcher in Center for Indigenous Psychology, and has been presenting my own research conference in Asian Association of Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (AAICP) (Bandung, 2015), and International Congress of Psychology (Japan, 2016).
I know it was still a small step that cannot be proud of. And, I really need and looking forward your suggestions to make a bigger step. :)

Further, I also work in various projects and organizations. One of it, I am coordinating research and development division in Islamic Psychology Learning Forum UGM, and becaming staff in Strategic Division of Jamaah Shalahuddin UGM, an Islamic student's council in university level. Previously, I was also steering a big project in a month with approximately 1000 visitors per day, in total we have 30.000 participants in a month.

I feel that I still run in my own world so I am joining Pijar Psychology (pijarpsikologi.org), a national voluntary organisation that educate people of how psychology works for your life. My role is to educate Psychology literacy.

Mentoring also part of my activities, so I'm guiding a new beginner researcher to become an intern Researcher in my center. In the same time, I hold a group of mentoring in Islamic teaching in Keluarga Muslim Psikologi (Moslem Psychologists Family).
In the students dorm, I still do my own laundry and selling some snacks to add my pocket money.

Work-life balance?
I'm a yes of it.
I'm still maintaining to sleep well, at least 3 hours in a day.
A big NO for not sleeping at all in the night, it would ruin my mood, and it also would be bad for my skin. :)
